He doesn't actually describe it as a Contax......and I've never seen a Contax with a name plate like that. The lens has had the maker's name masked out, the number starting 58 is the usual Russian code for a lens (and for other instruments like microscopes) manufactured in 1958, and the small logos on the lens are definitely from the USSR. Just hope that no-one falls for this rubbish!

If you're going to shamelessly try to fool us, even tho I can't see how anyone could possibly be fooled by this, at the very least try to make a symmetrical nameplate. *facepalm

The Hasselblad name plate is too long for where it's stuck on , it should only go to where the WLF starts to curve round .
Flick that off and you will see where it says Kiev or Kneb .

Look at the back of the film back .
Over the hole for lining up the start position if the film should be a cover , this has also been removed because on the original one it would have had markings in Russian , which would give it away that it's not a German camera .

The reason that the front of the lens isn't shown is also the same reason , Russian not German .

A seller to avoid !

If the lens markings on the front of the lens hadn't been defaced to hide the fact it's a Russian ( o.k ,Ukrainian ) lens , and he hadn't slapped a badge saying Contax over the Kiev stamped in name plate , it would be worth the opening bid price .
Not knowing what has be messed about with to con you into thinking it's a Contax , I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole !

As these cameras and lenses were intended for the Eastern market , did they not use a name that was a said and spelt the same throughout that area ?
I do realise that all countries have their own native language , but where all countries are joined together such as on Europe as people move around a lot of words become shared , I would have thought .
As a manufacturer it would have made sense to call products and models names that can be understood in all intended markets .

its because it is a hasselbladski not a hasselblad
they were a ukranian similar / cousin of the hasselblad 1000 / 1600

and rebuilt and doesn't have the troubles the old keiv's had...

Yes, SMS was used at the Germany Royal Navy, but as this all was about WWII stuff, I did´not think back that much.
And I guess it is faked anyway...

The seller doesn't actually say that the watch dates from 1950, or was the property of Jimmy Trotter. Same with most of the other items, they can only be regarded as either just fakes or, at best, modern souvenirs. No sensible buyer would think that a watch engraved "Donald Trump, President, 2016 Election" had actually belonged to the man himself !
