Lustre vs semi matte

I don't mind either - think of Ilford's .44 pearl finish - I think of Kodak Lustre E as being a bit more 'sparkly' than .44, and N semi matt N works for me too.

Last night i was into the first that I have cut from a 5" roll of Royal F that i picked up from a photo lab that was closing. The glossy looks pretty good, but boy, does it ever show every finger print. And the paper base is much beefier than I am used to. I had the stuff cut and squashed flat a week ago, and it still has a curl, and likely always will. That means a four bladed easel, but I will need that anyway; the guy who sold it to me has in some way handled this carelessly and fogged the first few mm of each egde ; oh well, $10 for about 200 feet of 5" wasn't a bad price to pay even if it is a bit screwed.
