For sale is a gorgeous 24” Goerz Red Dot Artar, custom mounted by SK Grimes in a Copal shutter. SK Grimes also machined the front lens barrel to accept standard 67mm filters. The Copal shutter is a 10-bladed beauty for completely round apertures, fully serviced to work crisply on every speed. Flash sync tested and working. Glass is superb with only negligible dust. Excellent coating. Includes both original Goerz lens caps, as well as Copal 3 retaining ring.

What a magnificent lens. Was this originally mounted in another shutter, or was it a barrel lens?

Thank you! It is a great lens and offers huge movements even on my 12x20”. I believe Art Sinsabaugh used a 24” Artar on the format.

To answer your question, this lens was factory mounted in an Ilex #5 shutter.
