I just set infinity on this new camera and all seems to be well...but:
As I trun the lens to the close focus end of the ring, it goes past the calibration on the focus markings an then stops abput a quarter of a turn later. In the ground glass the close focus distance appears to be around 2 ft at this point. When I set the viewing lens to 3.5 feet, it seems to focus at around that distance...so it seems claibrated correctly. The spec on the camera suggests that 3.5 feet is the closest focus distance....am I missing some form of focus stop? Will the taking lens be in focus whan I focus on the viewing lens at 2ft provided my infinity calibration is correct?
I'm abit confused...I've heard of infinity stops...but close ups? What sets the close focusing distance?
Looking for advice before I blow a whole film on this.
Thanks. K
