Super Ikonta 533/16 question

Does the Super Ikonta 533/16 require a battery for the RF to work?
What are some common problems with these cameras and what is the average cost for a CLA?

No battery at all for the 533/16.
Common problems problems would be stiff focus, defunct meter, leaky bellows.
I sent mine to Ken Ruth and he fixed the stiff focus and repaired the meter (which lasted a few years, but has now stopped again). I can't remember how much it was. Most good repair places familiar with older cameras should be able to handle it. You can approximate servicing cost from the certo6 website.

hazy glass, gummed shutters, stiff focus, and lack of alignment between lens and film gate are all potential issues in addition to those mentioned above....
