Super Baldinette w/rotaing lens elements

I have a dearly loved BALDA SUPER BALDINETTE folder w/f2 Heligon.

Ran into prob where the shutter release was failing to trip shutter. Found a ring in the lens/shutter assembly had loosened, some of the assembly rotated over time and the shutter release linkage was just missing the release arm on the shutter.

I can see that the spanner required to tighten it is way thinner than the spanner I have to work on another ring.

Has anyone been in this spot & found a solution. Not many people around work on these & they want an arm & leg just to look at it, I'd have to send it off.

It almost looks like if I got just the right steel tube & machined it to leave two stubs, I could do it myself.

i just rotate the shutter back into position and push the ring holding it in place tighter using a small screwdriver to push it around until it is snug. can you not do that?

failing that, if you can make the proper tool, by all means do so. Unless the shutter itself needs service.

Buy an inexpensive screwdriver and use either a Dremel, grinding disk or file to create the shape that you need. I've ground down coins to create a small spanner for specific cameras.

You could use a cheap pair of needle nose pliers with the tips ground down.
Or a compass with the pencil replaced with a stylus/scribe or,,,,,,,,,,,,just a pointy thing of some sort.

First, thanks for all the replies. What makes it so difficult is that the gap I have to get into is so thin that it is hard to imagine making something so thin to fit that wouldn't also bend or break in the process. I had a really fine jeweler's screwdriver That just made it but broke under the pressure needed. With less pressure, as I had only a single piece like this, it wasn't enough to stay tight & quickly loosened up again.

So I do have my dad's old Welting w/Xenon f/2 (uncoated unfortunately), trying to revive & clean it up a bit before I road test it. Sentimental value of course but I got to nearly 40 yrs with the Balda & its lens is, I believe, dangerously sharp as well.
