This is a Sun Sola 9cm F4 for Leica thread mount. This chrome beauty was made in Japan and is seemingly an Elmar copy, although I think it performs better! A beautiful and collectible lens. Good shape with clean, clear glass.

Just out of interest, is this lens a tessar type or a triplet?

A 9cm tessar almost always gives excellent result.

Not sure - I'll look into to it. I think the Elmar is a triplet, but being long (narrow field) and fairly slow it gives nice results.
