I mixed up some sepia toner based on Formulary's 221 recipe, using bulk sodium sulfide from Formulary.
It states to make a 500ml stock solution, which is then mixed 1:8 for working solutions. (300ml water + 45g Sodium Sulfide + 200ml water); I actually doubled these amounts and made a full liter.
Does anyone have factual knowledge or experience about how long the stock will keep?
I assume it is meant to keep fairly well since it's designed to be mixed 1:8 for use, and the working solution discarded after use.
Cheers,
Phil
