Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of using a Philips 6853FO lamp in a Focomat V35 enlarger? The basic specs suggest it will be OK, 12V 75W, dichroic reflector (smooth) and GZ6.35 base but the only information I can find about the projection angle suggests it's 180deg. This is clearly wrong but is the angle close to the original 13139 lamp's 15deg?
Roy.

Could you be mistaking the mounting position in the "Installation Diagrams" part of their spec sheet for projection angle? Elsewhere the ANSI code "EFN" is listed, so I'd guess you should be OK. I assume your V35 has the later lamp holder?
Is it a good price?

I got it here for £12.06 inc VAT and shipping:
https://www.medlamps.co.uk/philips-6853-fo-12v-75w-gz6-35.html
It fits the holder nicely and illuminates the 'field' evenly but without making definitive light measurements or printing a test negative and comparing actual results with the 'correct' lamp I can't be sure it's OK.
My V35 is the later type holder and I don't have an original lamp.
