Testing out a new loupe on the light box and the last negatives I processed are clearly more neutral than before, I dont know whether its the fresh fixer or whether its the 2 mins in HCA 1:4, but here is the process I followed (per Kodak recommendations). They literally look like they are black and white
rather than a sickly purple.
The following was conducted all at 20 deg C
Developer: 1:1 Xtol, 9m15s, agitated for 5s twice per minute, 30s in the beginning
Stop: 30s in fresh stop, constant agitation
Fixer: (fresh 1:4 Fotospeed), 7mins, same agitation as for developing
HCA 1:4, 2mins, again same agitation as above
Wash: Brita filtered tap water, about 2L in total, or 7 drums worth of washing, for about 5mins
Very pleased with the results, so I thought I would share the love.
