Hello,

I am joking with the use of "ancient" , but I wanted to share that I had success with old HC-110 last night. It came in a plastic bottle that was square, but tapered up to the small cap. It had no date on it that I could find. I poured one ounce on top of 31 ounces of water to make a liter of dilution B, and used my standard time for Delta 1000 at EI 2000. Everything looked normal! Any idea what years this style of bottle was used? I am guessing it was at least 20 years old. It was full when I opened it, but had no peel-off seal like they have now.

Have a look at this pdf if the bottle has a batch number printed on it and tell us if you find anything.

Thanks for the tip. Hopefully the code is there on the older bottle. It belongs to my friend, whose processing lab I just helped set up. I decided to be the Guinea pig for the HC-110, though I was certain it would work just fine. I will look for the code when I go back over to pick up my dried film.

My first bottle of HC110 was square, can'nt remember the year, around the 1970,s I'd guess.
