Studiomaster II pin out on AE71 socket?

Ran across 5 of these with the stands, lights, reflectors, diffusions, barn doors, etc for next to nothing.. They only came with (1) AE71 though and I've ordered a few NOS ... The manual mentions a "trip cord", but I haven't been able to find a trip (sync) cord that would plug into the Octal socket the AE71 fits in. Anyone have any feedback on which pins I'd tap into to retrofit a 1/4" plug (or whatever) into these units. I don't want to invest too much time and money into these old units, but they seem to work fine and was thinking of rigging up a sync cord tied for my old analog gear and maybe tie into my RF-603C II's if the voltage wasn't too high (max 300v on those). Sample pic of unit with trigger socket right/front on top... Appreciate any pointers.

Can you get to the back of the plug? It may be as simple as them using the 7 pin as a proprietary connector
using only two contacts.

Thanks.. these units actually take an AE71 flash sensing tube that triggers the light based on an external flash.. I imagine they'd be using more than 2 pins to make that happen.. I can always pulled out the multimeter, but thought I'd check in here first..
