Hi there,
I'm looking for a studio stand in NYC. Something secondhand, of course, as my budget is around $1000 with some wiggle room - if anyone has something sitting, I will come pick it up anywhere within the city or greater NYC area. My name is Dev.

I have a Linhof that I don't use any more (retired): see hastily taken picture from an old catalogue (not the camera).
It's very, very, heavy, but immensely robust, stable, durable and versatile!
I am considering to sell it, but haven't taken the time to photograph and post it...

PS: I know that shipping it to the USA isn't that obvious...

I have wanted a studio pedestal stand for ages. I missed out on a screaming bargain on Craigslist--you might want to start there. I ended up buying a new Studio Titan America stand, and I am pleased with it. It is on the small side (a plus for me, I don't have a lot of room) but they have larger models. And there was no charge for shipping. You will need 2 people to put it together at one point in the process.

If the Atlantic wasn't in the way, I'd offer you a Foba stand, but shipping 300lbs across the pond isn't going to be cheap.

I can sell you mine for a song but pick-up in Germany is probably a no-go.

I bought my older but pristine Bogen Studio stand for $10 a couple years ago. Happened to be in the right place at the right time AND happened to driving an empty pickup truck. We broke it down to manageable pieces and hit the road.

I find them incredibly useful. Mine is tall but fits through a door frame.
