Studio 2000 is in liquidation, and all their gear is going under the hammer on Wednesday June 5 2013, through Mason Gray Strange

https://www.mgs.net.au/auction/viewauction.html?a=7343

Loads of Hasselblad gear, Bowens lighting, desks etc up for auction - someone on APUG might just grab themselves a bargain.

**You can bid online if you can't get there on the day.

Yep, karma's just around the corner, waiting to bite you on the a***. Not a Blad fan myself, but the Bowens gear - a nice little group there, along with a couple of Lowepro bags (Lot #340).

Hoffy, no connections other than friends who were worked like dogs upon their completion of TAFE there - they speak so *very* highly of them to. . . . .:whistling: (I know *exactly* where you are coming from.)

David, not too sure - maybe they'd be happy to ship, if you're happy to pay for it? Or perhaps an ADL based APUGer could ship if you won?

I know they had a call centre (that's where a work colleges girl friend used to work).

Haha - I gather it was either them Or Roxy Studios, right, with the dude who used to shoot weddings in a white suit and white trainers?

As for the auction - there is plenty of tempting stuff, but in reality, it would need to go for rock bottom prices for me to be interested in it.

So, it looks like their shitty online bidding applet is blocked from my work. Anyone want to put a $200 bid on a couple of Bowens flashes for me? All y'all know me well enough (I hope) to know I'm not a flake

Edit: they accept emailed proxy bids. So I'll do that.

No, it's a firewall issue. Their Java applet wants to open a private TCP connection which is not permitted.

Anyway, please no one bid on 272 or 306. Pick different flashes if it's flashes you want. Hoffy: email the dude (James) your bids by 9am and they will be included.

Note the presence of a pair of Nikon 8000s!

I looked at the interbid website (fortunately) just as 306 was auctioned. It showed $300 (more than my bid) but I don't know what the closing price was. All items before that were listed as "Gone" so I don't know closing prices in general. I'm pretty sure I didn't win 272 either as I haven't heard from MGS.
