Hi!

I'm new to darkroom printing and recently picked up a 23Ciii condenser enlarger. I have two enlarging lenses and jam nuts but only one lens board at the moment. I'd like to swap lenses, using the current board now and a second one when I get it, but I'm having trouble removing the board from the head.

From reading online I was under the impression I needed to press the board up and slide it back to remove it, but it feels like it's really strongly attached. Can anyone share some advice on how this is supposed to work and what I might be doing wrong?

Thank you!
-Will

Welcome to Photrio.
I think you have it reversed.
I think you are supposed to press it back, and then pull it down.

Will B, I have a spare lens board for the 23C. Yours for the price of postage.

Ha! I just had this same problem in reverse. No matter how much I pushed upward I could not get the lens board into the enlarger!

Hey Rick, if Will doesn't need that lens board I would be interested.

@Rick A That would be amazing, thank you! I'd love to take you up on that. Please let me know how I can get you the postage for it.

Cheers!
