A strobe per se won't do you much good, as the cumilative exposure is not much. However a first cousin to it, the pulsed xenon tube, has been used for a long time in printing platemakers and have a respectable UV output. They are run at a much lower power rating than a single pulse strobe of the same size but the internal arc is pulsed continuously similar to the way AC power is pulsed. Process cameras have been outfit with this system often as well. One advantage to this is they require almost no warmup time to full rated output unlike a vapor lamp so heat production and power consumption is minimised.I'm not saying the output is spectrally optimum for all alt processes but being a continuous white spectrum output you can get away with using it on most anything.
