Have a quick question regarding the Arista E6 kit.
Their instructions say 240ml of solution will process two rolls of 36exp 35mm film. These instructions seem to be oriented toward rotary processing tanks, where as I understand it it is possible to develop two rolls at one time in 240ml of solution.
But I'm developing in a hand tank, so would be developing one roll at a time. Do I apply the 4% additional development time 'stretch factor' to the second roll processed, or do I start applying the factor only for the 3rd roll onward?
It seems to me the hand tank equivalent to the rotary roll capacity would have me using the standard development time (X) for rolls 1 and then 2, then Y=1.04 x (X) for roll 3 followed by the same time (Y) for roll 4, i.e., only incrementing the development time after each second roll.
Rolls will be processed in rapid succession, so no worries about oxidation. I intend to 'stretch' process 2 times the recommended roll capacity, no further. So process 4 rolls from the amount of solution they recommend for 2 rolls...
Does this sound correct? Anyone have experience with using hand tanks and E6 chemistry?
Thanks!
Neil
