Les is giving a street photography workshop during Pride week in Toronto. Included in the workshop will be press passes to al events.
heres the synopsis:
The object of the Pride Workshop is to teach participants how to approach a photographic assignment of telling an in depth story of events especially where people are the central story. During the first two days of the workshop we will spend some time on the streets learning how to make candid photographs, as well as set up situations relevant to the story we have chosen to tell. There are many daily events that provide ideal situations for this aspect of the workshop. The remainder of the daytime of the first two days will be spent at Elevator where Les will critique participants portfolios and give guidance on selecting work to produce a series of images and produce a coherent story. Each evening we will be given access by press pass to events likely to be colourful and offer challenging subject matter, probably in quite low lighting. Les has vast experience in this type of photography and will demonstrate his approach and methods and guide you through the potential pitfalls you are likely to meet.
