Streaks on scan

Hi
I’m new to film photography and recently I’ve received several scans with streaks on certain photos. I’ve used 3 different films and encountered the same problem. I have a Canon A1-4 35 mm and have been using Kodak film. Is the issue with the camera or the film developer?

I welcome any feedback.
Thank You
Maria

Welcome to Photrio Maria.
Like your screen name .
That looks to me to be a problem with light leaks in the camera.
Can you show us a backlit photo of the original negatives- a cel phone photo will do.
Please be sure to show the entire negative - image area, film edges, edge printing and the space between frames.
A strip of 4 - 6 negatives would be good.

Matt, unfortunately I did not request to keep the negatives. I used Bleeker Digital in NYC. I will reach out to get copies. In the meantime what can I do to not let light leak through? Or does the camera need repair?
Thanks again.

Always keep the negatives!
They are your highest quality original source material.
That being said, learning this lesson early is a good thing.
If the problem is due to a light leak, the camera will most likely need service. It could be as simple as replacing the light seals - which you could probably do yourself with a little research - or it could be more serious.
But before going down that path I would recommend either obtaining those negatives (if that is possible) or exposing and developing another roll of film, to see if the problem re-occurs - but get the negatives!
