Of my MF cameras that require unique straps, Hasselblad and Rolleiflex, my solution has been to simply take old strap to shoemaker, who attaches connectors to new strap.
Even when using straps, I wouldn’t trust them for full support of MF camera, since most of them, being bulky and heavy, have a tendency to swing and bump into other solid objects. Best to carry in hands, or if not likely to be used, a fitted hard camera case.
For me straps are an added safety precaution, just in case hands fail. Sometimes I use a monopod, but feel that walking around cradling camera with monopod but no safety net (a strap) is a bit too risky.
