Strap for RB67

What is your best recommendation for a strap/harness to use with a Mamiya RB67? I love having this camera at the ready, but need a visit to my chiropractor after an outing. I appreciate your ideas.

I keep mine on a tripod.

If I'm carrying it by itself, a rare occurance, I have one of those very stretchy and wide neck straps. There are special connectors that work with the RB67 though that you have to attach to the strap.

I use to use a strap long enough to permit having the camera at my side and the strap crossing my body diagonally so as to rest on the shoulder opposite the side where the camera hangs.
That is with the waist level finder.
I preferred having a left hand trigger grip on the camera when I carried it that way.

This is how I was carrying my Nikon F4 / Nikkor 85mm f1.4 combo today, which is a fairly heavy combo. The trick for me is to have a strap that’s long enough so I can bring the camera up to my eye without having to take the strap of my shoulder. I carry mine in a small duffel bag with a long strap as Mat describes. With the top zipper undone, I can grab the camera as quickly as with a strap.

I can vouch for the Op-Techs. I haven't used straps often on my RBs/RZs, but when I do, it's always an Op-Tech. You can get them with the special attachment lugs that come on the Mamiya cameras.

I do use Op-Techs on my heaviest Nikons, my DSLRs and my F4. They are really comfortable, and very durable.

I use the OP/Tech on my Pentax 645, and like it much. Easy removable with the clips as well, and it is one of the few (only?) which connects directly to the special strap clips for the Pentax 645 (and since their website says that version B is for Mamiya as well: should be the same situation!).

Literally carrying mine around with the big OP/TECH strap. Very nice strap, good for this type of thing. Highly recommend.

I agree with those people who recommend the Optech Super Pro straps. According to the

OpTech calls them “Pro Connector B”, but if you are looking for one to use with a generic strap, look up “RB67 Strap Lug”.

Grateful for that, i carry mine around handheld so i could really use one. I have the left hand grip also but its good to have options

A few years ago, I carried one around downtown Milwaukee, WI. I loved the Optech. It made it almost handholdable which I did for the whole week we were there.
