Nearly all photos of the bottom of that camera show a plain rewind lever.
As here:

My sample though got a stud at the rewind lever.
I only could find one photo of this version:

First I thought it was to be picked with the fingernail to swing out the lever.
But it is straight, and moreover the rewind-knob (at the left) unlocks the lever which then is flipped up by a spring loaded pin.

As you see that stud easily scratches the leatherette.
It also stands out a millimeter over the bottom (but can be pushed in against that spring) and thus scratches surfaces.

On might think it is to push the lever into its recess. No, the lever is easily pushed into its lock without that stud.

What was going on here in the minds of the engineers?

(I could give countless other examples of weird camera designs.)
