Dear All:

My friend has develop two porta 160 using a jobo 2502 reel with 2520 tank hook up with a cpa2 with lift. Speed of rotation of the jobo is in "p", the negative comes out with some strange streaks in cyan/green in colour shown in negative along both film

chemistry is using Kodak Flexicolor with a stopbath and a pre-wet, chemistries are flesh except the bleach has been used for about 10 rolls of films. Volume of chemicals are all 350ml at least

I suspect it is a light leaks, but the streaks pattern is so strange and solid pattern unlike normal light leaks with a diffuse light pattern, anybody have different opinion, please let me know. Thank you

Al

I agree it looks like light streaks. Is it possible that there's something amiss with the center column that should be fitted inside the reel? This is part of the light trap and without it, light will fall through the opening in the cap and expose the film. The pattern could be explained by the geometry of the reel that shields some of the light coming in. That's the first explanation that comes to mind...

I agree that they are light streaks and they are repetitive. It looks like there is a center column issue: either the center column was missing or not in position OR there is some light getting through the light trap at the top of the tank.

You got some great advice and it's good that the problem was identified.
Just for future reference, when you see green or blue marks, streaks or blobs on colour negatives, it is usually caused by a light leak of some kind, either in camera, film loading or during developing.
