Hi there,

I developed the first roll of film from a Hasselblad 500 cm which I had never used before. While the negatives showed some light leak from the darkslide which can be fixed easily, I also found some odd diagonal markings on and between two images. Below is a quick smartphone scan of the markings. Does anyone have an idea what may have caused this?

Is it also a concentrated light leak? The streaks are approx in the middle of the roll of 120 film, and the "normal" light leak varies quite significantly throughout the roll of film. In some images it's quite visible, in other it's barely noticable. I am relatively new to developing images as well, so could it be an artefact from the development process?

The light seal of the film holder, which is located in the thin opening where the blind is slipped in, needs to be replaced.
On the internet you can find these seals and on YouTube some video's explaining how to proceed.
If you are not confident in dong it yourself, then find an experienced camera repairman (like David Odess in the US or Will Van Manen in the EU).

On the Hasselblad, the viewfinder has barely influence on light leaking in during exposure...

Got one and already replaced it - it was indeed a light leak on the holder.
