Strange Pattern on Film

Simon,

For your reference, another roll from this brick has the lot # of 91CTM1C01/01 with an expiration date of April 2015.

Regards,

RM

If these frame numbers did not exist then all but 2 of my MF cameras would be useless as they are all red window cameras, so that is why the frame numbers are printed on the backing paper, saying this, in over 8 years of using red windows with Ilford.Kodak and Foma film I have never come across this problem, and I am not that careful closing the window cover, I can only think that the film somehow would loose, I have used these Fuji cameras and I have had the odd lose wound roll, as to what the results were I couldn't say as I would tend to throw away the roll as not worth the time and chemicals to develop on an off chance, but were I live, Jersey is just 45 sq miles, it is very easy to re shoot the film

The pattern is actually four rings of successively larger diameter leading to the number, so there could be multiple sizes of the ring of dots. If it's transfer from the printing, roll diameter could affect position; if it's a light leak even more variables are possible.

There is an image on the first page of this thread showing some rollfilm backing paper (which originally came from me, posted in response to questions about frame number locations) that shows the pattern for FP4+. The original reason for that was to show that some makers do not have the lead-in patterns on all number rows -- now I wonder if Fuji cuts back to reduce the possible transfers!

Dear Ratty Mouse,

Thanks : We have no QC's against this batch number 91CTM of any type ( manufactured Week 1 April 2012 ).

Kindest Regards

Was the in the fridge or freezer? To me this issue, and I've had it with cheaper films is more likely a moisture problem then light leak.

My film dealer does not store Delta 400 in the fridge and I use this film up in a matter of weeks, so I keep it at room temperature as well.
