I have taken the bellows out of a 5x7 Korona View Camera to order a replacement and it appears to be very strangely constructed.

The (what I believe is a ) 1909 model camera has these strange "divots" cut into the sides of the bellows frame. Look on the left and right of the frame to see the half-moon shaped cut-outs.

Anyone know why these were cut? Was this camera possibly a "stereo capable" camera with the proper accessories?

That's a weird aspect ratio for a lens board, although the 1909 Gunlach/Korona catalog lists just such a beast BUT doesn't mention stereo accessories specifically for this model.

Ideas? Observations?

Thanks for the link, but I am beginning to think this camera is a mash-up, but started life as a Korona Wizard View, Variation 3. The part that was throwing me is the decal on the front of the lens standard. I now think the front standard frame was replaced in the past with a regular 5x7 Korona View example and lost the Wizard badge; perhaps because it was damaged or ...?

I did not notice any remnants of the Stereo Septum inside the existing bellows, but will have another look for clues.
