Straighten Trees ?

making things straight is a human thing.God doesn't do that. It's not divine.

I know -- that is why I am so confused with the major push-back against the LGBT community. My cousin, who is gay, claims he cannot even think straight.

Oh by the way it also happens to buildings and fences and walls etc. That is why the view cameras has so many movements right. To correct things that the camera and lens can put out of shape. Things like straight lines (trees in this case) converging where in nature they are not. Look it up.

If you know things are converging and you have to eliminate that "problem", try rectification printing. This is the use of a small aperture and tilting the easel during the exposure of the print. It is used all the time in certain instances.

Great thread! I've got nothing to add to the excellent advice given by our esteemed friends. Perspective control can be a lot of fun; I find the exercise very instructive towards the way we can interpret subjects on the ground glass.

The Chamonix F looks like a beautiful camera, Terry! (and so does Vaughn's 11x14)

I'm getting the itch to get my 8x10 shakey Jake out of its furniture-sized case just for the sake of some nice big negatives. (I dread the thought of carrying it, though)
