I realize this may not be the best forum for this, but I am trying to clean up my garage/darkroom/studio space a bit. I have several softboxes, from about 30x40" to 18x24" and limited wall space. I really don't want to collapse and put them back together all the time--it's a real PIA. Right now they are balanced precariously on the top shelves of shelving units. I once saw a system where the soft boxes were hoisted to the ceiling with rope and pulleys and am considering nesting the softboxes together and trying that although I don't have a high ceiling. What kinds of solutions has anyone else used?

Depends on what the inner material is made of. Some have a silvery vinyl surface which can break down...it's similar to Harrison changing tents that turn to shit.
I have Elinchrom Octabanks and keep them loose until travel. Avoid sun and heat.

Best,

I have hung mine up. They are such a PITA to assemble and disassemble (they're the cheap knockoffs) that I have vowed never to fold them up again. Use whatever is convenient for you and hang them up out of the way.
