stonehenge rising white or warm white?

Hello..i'm interested in doing some kallitype and both sandy and carmen seem to recommend stonehenge rising white for kallitype..im looking at the kinsella pdf and they have stonehenge rising listed as white or warm white..which do people prefer? is there much difference? also, i'm guessing stonehenge rising is a decent paper for pt/pd as well?

I am only familiar with Stonhenge Rising White which is really wonderful for kallitype. It is also very good with pt/pd but for maximum Dmax you should give it a soak in 1% oxalic acid first. Just soak in the oxalic solution, hang to dry, and then it is ready. Don't rinse after the soak. The oxalic acid soak is not needed with kallitype.

I like the Stonehenge papers for my pt/pd as well. There is a noticable difference side by side, as the warm white is just that, warm, and leans toward a very light straw color. I use the white (neutral highlights) with the 1% oxalic acid solution as my "house" paper.

With a name like that, I thought that this paper may have been made in UK ! In view of contributors' comments I wish to try this material for Kallitypes and Palladium and wondered whether white, warm white or even ivory would be most effective. Any advice about this ? I believe that the paper is a vellum simulation and think I have read that a mottling effect sometimes results. Any experiences or 'do's and dont's' would be useful. I am a beginner but wish to try and standardise on one paper to get to know it and build up a body of work.

You might also want to try the Stonehenge Cream color. It has kind of a pinkish hue, but with certain images it is a very nice look.

I see some of this paper is available in pads which may facilitate shipping to UK. Apart from a follow up to the points raised above, does anyone reccommend a supplier for this material.

I'm looking at the Kinsella catalog again and i noticed that stonehenge comes in 2 weights, 250gsm and 320gsm...is there an advantage to getting the heavier weight paper?
