Still Life or Portrait?

II haven't decided if this is a still life or a portrait, but I'm pleased with it.

You haven't heard the title yet. It's "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Pumpkin".

Nicely done, whatever you decide to call it.

A still life usually has a composition of several arranged objects. A portrait is usually (part of) an arranged person, but it is perfectly valid to picture a fruit or another object as portrait. A practical consideration is how you would classify your photos into consistent categories.

Another possibility is to call it a Found Object [1] which is an even more generic classification, because actually almost everything you photograph is a found object (or a composition of objects) which can be transformed into art.
