I just got a KEH BGN grade Bronica 250/5.6 PE lens for my ETRSi, and the aperture ring is really stiff. Not just a little tight, but really stiff, although it will move through the full range with appropriate click stops.

Normal for this particular lens (my 75mm and 150mm PE lenses are fine), just tight from perhaps a lack of use and will loosen up, or am I sending it back?

Thanks for any experience from the group.

I'd say it's not normal. It may need a CLA. I bet it'll improve with use but if it sits it'll go back to being stiff.

It wouldn't hurt to give them a call. It sounds like the lube in the small ball bearing detents is stiff. It can also be someting rubbing in the ring, maybe out of round. Can't tell without seeing it on my bench.
