I have an FD Vivitar 20mm f/3.8 in great condition. It was recently repaired by a very reputable technician due to loose parts in the front assembly. He also gave it some lubrication.
However, I've noticed that the aperture lever is somewhat stiffer than my other 5 FD lenses. It takes more force to move it with my finger, and it has a very distinct, somewhat more violent, and almost "crunchy" sound when used on a camera body during exposure.
So far it hasn't damaged my cameras (2 F1s and an FTB), but Im wondering whether the extra force needed to move the aperture lever could, in the long run, damage the aperture lever on the camera body?
