I know that this subject has been covered before, and I am expecting a degree of dismantling, which I'm slightly hesitant about, but the camera cost me little or nothing and I wonder if anybody who has experience of this model can offer any guidance?
So I bought a bundle of Konica stuff for barely €50, all in good condition, which included three sets of extension tubes, a lens reverse kit, two 28mm f3.5s (one of them a fairly rare first edition preset), a Sigma MiniWide II, a 135mm f3.2 (best of that particular bunch), a Kenlock Mc-tor MC 35mm f2.8, a Sigma 2x macro tele converter and various other bits and bobs, so I'm not in the least disappointed about the Konica T3 which despite being in good condition, I knew had a shutter problem, so here are the specifics...
The speed dial is very stiff. The shutter can be cocked but when the shutter is fired when camera is flat on its back or standing up in the normal position, the mirror grinds to a halt halfway up. Tip it onto its back and the operation continues to completion returns to its normal position. In literally any other orientation except for those two, the shutter can be cocked and fired normally. All shutter speeds sound there or thereabouts.
Now clearly the top has to come off to investigate the stiff speed dial but does anybody have any useful advice as to where I might apply lighter fluid or other cleaner, especially in the fairly complex mechanism inside the throat of the lens opening? Any help much appreciated!
