Step-up options for Ikonta 521/16?

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out a way of using my 52mm filters on my Ikonta folder. The thread is 35.5mm, and I've seen 35.5 to 52mm step up rings advertised, but the threads are cut into the outside of the focus ring. The knurling on the outer rim (I've attached a photo) is actually cut as a thread.

So a regular 35.5mm filter has to go on *backwards* which makes no optical difference, but because it's a male thread on the camera instead of a female one, I end up needing a 52mm to 35.5mm step-DOWN which no-one seems to make. Any suggestions? I may punt on this and ask SK Grimes to make me a custom piece, but before I do I thought I'd appeal to the collective wisdom here.

Argh. My first post to a great forum, and I leave out a key part of my question.
Ideally I want to be able to use a hood as well as filters. Putting on filters backwards works fine, even with stepdown rings. But putting hoods on backwards doesn't work so well.

I should have entitled the post "Hood + filter for Ikonta 521/16" instead.

You may want to try some Series filters, with a slip on adapter. I'll look through my stash of them. 35.5mm?
