Statement Regarding ILFORD Photo / POLAROID

Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Thanks for the update Simon. It's disappointing but so very understandable, we all knew this was a long shot.

It is disappointing news but at least Fuji still make a range of both colour & monochrome peel apart instant films. They are available in both 85 x 108mm and 102 x 131mm (5 x 4). Some may only be available in Japan but they can be ordered from the Megaperls Webshop and probably elsewhere. There is no type 55 emulsion though.

While it's a pity that the materials will probably disappear they only have a very limited appeal in the overall B&W market place. I'm sure Ilford would be better investing in more profitable areas.

Sad news Simon but fully understandable, I would sooner no Ilford instant film than no Ilford.
Thanks for trying.

Regards Paul.

Try Lacrosse or Jai Alai.

"What rules"?

i would agree.
property in the 128-loop / boston area is worth a pretty penny.

I know what cricket is; I built a cricket pitch in my basement as a kid.

Now that there's about a page of comments about my less-than-serious post, could someone please direct me to the Ilford Press Release? I can't spend another 5 hours looking for it; I'd like to post it in the photo department so they can pull more of tehir hair out trying to figure out what the HELL they are going to do next semester.

Ilford posted the information about the ULF special order program on APUG about a week or two before they published a press release, and the same may be true of this information. You may just want to copy Simon's first post and post that in the photo department.
