Okay, so I have a liter of LC29 mixed 1+19 already sitting in my fridge and 3 rolls of Classic Pan 400 from this past weekends protests in Taipei waiting to develop. I usually use HP5+, but I was passed some free rolls of this a while ago and thought I'd shoot a few. The last time I dev'd Classic Pan in LC29, I did it for 7m@20C and they came out a little weak.

Anyone else try this combo? Any suggested starting points?

Also, to clear things up, is Classic Pan 400 re-branded Foma or Forte? My thought was Forte, but recently I was blasted elsewhere by a Foma fan. On that note, what about Arista.edu "Made in Hungry"? I thought it was the same as Classic Pan.

Thanks!

1st thing, why are you mixing up a litre ahead of using it? Mixed developer goes off fast, a receipe for disaster IMO.

I haven't developed much J&C 400 in LC29 (1:29 dilution), but I have been exposing it at 200 and developing for 6mins 15secs @ 20C, initial agitation, then 3 inversions / min. So, I'm developing less than you!

Working LC29 lasts a month if kept air-tight. I mixed up a liter on Saturday because I knew I would be coming back with exposed films on Sunday. Plus it's faster to warm up dev left in the fridge the to cool down room temp developer.

You're not finding 1+29 too grainy?
