Starship darkroom

Most stray light comes from the light bouncing off the paper during the exposure. Surfaces near the enlarger, including the ceiling, could usefully be black but - as everyone agrees - the rest can be a light colour for ease of use.

The walls in mine are white and dark yellow, while the surfaces near the enlargers are covered in black ticket-board (thin card) for quick reversibility as it's also the spare bedroom, though not used as such for many years. The starship idea seemed odd, but then I remembered being aged eight, during the Apollo missions, and enjoying playing in the space-ship made in a corner of a garage by the father of a schoolfriend. Switches turned on tiny lamps - we were well impressed.
