David Hurn

I'm interested in David Hurn he's an old friend of mine although I haven't seen him for many years, more interested than I am in Duffy's shots of Christine Keeler.

I am glad you enjoyed it. I found them to be Fabulously Interesting myself. Fabulously Interesting.....doing my best to sound a bit British.

So you actually knew David Hurn.?
Did you know him well, at one time.?
I am new to photography, so I am not familiar with all these names, not even most of the "famous" names.
David is Definitely another one of those guys who, after seeing his pictures, you catch yourself saying....."Oh, he took THAT photo.?"
Kind of funny, in the Duffy video one of the Actress/Model says.....(paraphrasing) Back then, the models were well paid, but it was The Photographer that was the "Super Star".

I met David at a party in London when he shared a studio in London with David Bailey in the 1960's and subsequently met him several times and since we were both photographers had plenty to talk about, regrettably I had to move back to the North of England for my job a year or so later and haven't seen him since.

I see...interesting. It was nice that you knew him when you did.
Also, did not Know/Realize he had coupled with Bailey early on.?
That is quite a (photographic) One-Two-Punch.!

I met Bailey too and liked him a lot , both these guys in those day were earning megabucks and living the rock star lifestyle but were still very down to earth and not full of themselves and they both had a great sense of humour.

Awesome.....if you have any photos that survived, give us a show.

Christine Keeler was also a call girl who was having an affair at the same time with the British minister of deference and the Russian naval attaché that almost brought down the government.

To really understand the 60's you had to be there. I cannot be explained.
