Hi,
I have been stand developing lately with Rodinal 1:100. I am having some issues with it and I am not sure whether it is a light leak, bromide drag or something else. Any suggestion would be very welcome.

You need to include more info, camera, developing tank, etc. However, it appears to me to be a light leak, possibly bad shutter.

It looks like a light leak. It could be also uneven exposure due to obstructed movement of the horizontal traveling curtains. What camera has been used?

The camera is Minolta x- 700. This is the first time I see something that might be a light leak.

I had a similar issue with an old Exakta Varex camera.....uneven movement of the shutter and "shutter bounce", apparently a known problem with a lot of these cameras. It was more apparent on the faster shutter speeds, 1/500 and particularly 1/1000, It needed the attention of a technician with the right test equipment.

If it's a light leak, it will possibly also show on the film margins ?

well, the next step for me would be to shoot film ( meter as usual, load as usual) but develop in say hc-110 or d-76, acufine etc. . . to see if the same issues pop up. If your second roll is o.k. then you rule out camera light leak. if still persists then its the camera. What film are you using? is it expired, is it from a reputable company? all I am saying is ALLL film is not created equal. also, did you close the back securely? is the foam damaged? the curtain may be the issue or it may not. onto stand development. there are a lot of post here on correct procedures, review these post, to make sure you are optimizing your technique and are not sloppy. there is all kind of what if's but . lets start with one, the camera. verify.

Oh! I was looking more closely at your negs. . . . . the last two, ( dark foreground and a hint of sky) it looks like uneven development: look at the sprocket holes there are vertical lines of uneven development running vertically. This has happened before with me. I think you may have many problems running together here. But I also think you do have a light leak too.

well there's a clue. If i remember correctly? that the jobo is loaded from the top and then turned on outs side, to be "rolled" for agitation. since there is very little agitation. I am wondering if you didn't fill the entire tank with developer, hence when turning it on its side revealing film not in contact with developer, hence uneven developer. i still think there some surge goin on too.
