Stainless steel for wetplate sensitizing tank?

I'm just getting into wetplate, and am thinking of having a friend who does stainless steel welding make me a sensitizing tank or two. Does anyone know if this would react with the silver bath? It seems most people use glass or plexiglass for thier tanks.
