I am trying to identify what film size the following 3 stainless steel reels take, any help would be appreciated.

First reel that is smaller than 120 and larger than 35mm...maybe 127? about 47mm outside edge to outside edge.

Second reel is smaller than 35mm, and has the spiral only on one size, about 20mm outside edge to outside edge.

Third reel is smaller than 35mm, and has the spiral only on one size, about 12mm outside edge to outside edge.

Thanks in advance

Todd

It might help to let us know how thick the spiral wire is as well.
The first sounds like 127, the film is 46mm.
Could the 20mm be closer to 16mm where the film would sit? 16mm film (like 110).
The third may be some Minox format. Just guessing.

a 16mm film reel only has the spiral on one side and would be 20mm on the outside.

the last one, 12mm on the outside measurement, would be for minox film, which is 9mm wide. for 16 and 9 mm wide film you clip the film to the center and then feed the film in at an angle so it is held in place by the single spiral.

fyi -- minox reels are fairly hard to find, usually priced accordingly.

When loading the 16mm reel, load with the emulsion out. The reverse curl keeps the unsupported film edges from touching. If loaded emulsion-in the film can coil on itself and touch.

Nikor also made a spiral reel for 122 film. I haven't seen one in about five years, It went very dear on Fleabay.
