Greetings,

I got a Jobo RC-Jet dryer that I thought I might put into service. Unfortunately one of the squeegee rollers has disintegrated and needs to be replaced. So I'm looking for a a fix.

I called Jobo here in the US and there are no parts available. He had done some searching for a previous customer with a similar question and could find no solution. He mentioned Colenta/Colex, who make roller processors. Maybe they use squeegee rollers and one could be modified to work. I sent an email and am waiting for a response. I asked the Jobo rep about Arkay dryers, but they use a different method for drying and their expensive parts probably wont work.

Searching around I got these two suggestions:
Aarubco Rubber Company in saddle brook NJ might recover for around $110/roller - Anyone have info about what material would be best?
A search on mcmaster for a rubber or foam is in order... and on the to do list.

Has anyone made their own roller? or found any DIY solution?

I figured the Jet dry is a good machine and it should be rescued, but it's just a little side project as I dont really print in large enough volumes for it to be worth my using it.

Happy printing!

I have an Arkay and those rollers are on their way out. Already spitting out bits of foam out the back when nothing is run through them.

And man, I bloody live for my RC dryer. I depend on it so much. Heh. Especially for my test strips.

Do you have the source for Arkay parts?

Years ago, I was able to get my foam rollers recovered by a vender who did this for copier dealers. I have no knowledge of who this was as my service manager did this, and the business was sold many years ago. If there are any copier dealers in your area, you might try contacting them.
