Sprint Systems times for Svema films?

I got some Svema films for my FED-2--the 64, 200 and 400 speed films--and I was wondering if anyone has development times for those using sprint systems. The Darkroom that I use only has Sprint dev and massive dev has no times for it. If all else fails I'll pick up some D76, but keeping track of the working solution would be a massive hassle, as it is a public darkroom and we don't have lockers.

I think you need to sacrifise one roll from each speed to experiments. Take same image with 25 to 1600 speed and see how Swema reacts to developer.

People here often advises to use most diluted developer and extra long times for unknown films , you can buy adonal or rodinal and make these solutions with water.

Only you have to have , a small bottle and some developer in it , carried from home to public lab , adonal is cheap and excellent , HC 110 from Kodak is EXCELLENT.

May be It could be possible to do the same with sprint , but I dont know

(Sprint Standard developer 1:9, a D76 1:1 clone which uses phenidone rather than metol)

Does anyone know how to stand develop with above Sprint formula ?

Thanks for the reply. I was planning on using Rodinal for the Svema FN-64. I have just found Rodinal to be hit or miss with 400 speed films and I want to try and get fine grain out of the svema (however fruitless that may be). I'll contact sprint and see if they have any ideas.

sprint is VERY good at helping people with developing times &c.
it is worth an email or telephone call because they have done tests
with nearly ever other film out there ...
it is similar to d76 as umut says but it is metol free ...
i heard a long time ago that d76 times are a good place to start with the sprint developer
but that was rumor and i never used d76 or any exotic films with it, just kodak and ilford films ..
so i don't know how true that rumor might be ... or if it was just a rumor without substance ...
i love sprint film developer because you can over develop and it won't block up highlights
for "store bought film specific developer" ( not universal developers or kitchen cupboard developers
i have used spring developer more than any other developer and still use it for paying jobs where i have
to process a client's film. i've used it off and on since 1980ish with no complaints ...

By the way , if you have concerns with 400 asa fllm in rodinal , try hc 110.

I'd ditto the sentiment of starting with D76 1:1 times. I use sprint for all my developing, and I have found that D76 times are a great place to start. It's very forgiving, and I've used it with polypan f and rollei retro 80s with great results at D76 times.

Yes, start with the D-76 times. Sprint film developer was indeed designed to emulate D-76. I've done film tests for the company in years past, that's my data for Sprint on the Massive Dev chart. Svema was one emulsion I couldn't get my hands on when we were doing the big update. Running a test is always a smart idea for important pics.
