Sprint Film Developer - no images - too old?

I have a bottle of Sprint Film Developer that I opened end of May. Bottle is just under 1/2 full. I posted another post about my fridge being on the fritz and was testing some film from the fridge. This bottle was the first time I used the Sprint Developer and I'm not overly happy with the results I got from it but I've been mixing as I need it. I just developed a roll of film today and it came out completely blank except for the numbers at the edges and the film name (FP4 from the fridge - also first time I've used this film). I have a trip to Boston paid for for tomorrow (train tickets) and I'm in a bit of panic mode at the moment. I developed a roll a couple days ago and it was faint but about 1/3 came out. Could this just be the film, the developer being old or even just needing a new battery in the camera (I have an A-1)? I'm just in a bit of panic mode because I've already rescheduled and this is the last weekend I have to be able to go until spring. I have d-76 on order and I'm concerned about trusting the film from the fridge at this point.

If you got the numbers and brand info on the edge (rebate) of the film, then it got developed. If they are extremely light, then maybe not enough development, but if they're easy to see, then the developer is not your problem. You likely have something wrong with the camera or you seriously underexposed the shots. If the battery is bad and the meter not working, that might have been enough to do it , but I don't know what the subjects were or the settings vs the light, etc.... And the film is probably fine if the numbers showed up, but you won't know about fine details unless you get some good images to look at. If the film is not very expired (like, less than 5 years expired), then the film is probably ok.

25% air in the bottle of undiltued developer thsy say is good for 3 months ...
i used to squeeze the bottle and put the cap on when the liquid was near the opening
to eek some more life out of it, that said when it got to be a few months old i would toss it
when it was half full ...
