I just bought the artista E6 1pint kit. I was wondering if I can make 2 pints with the kit and freeze half? then I would add time (not sure how much yet) to the process.

Man, I read that title and thought, "Never, ever keep your booze in the darkroom."

I thought it was going to be about a baby that could also be used for film development .

(I've pointed out the typo {splitting rather than spitting} to the moderators - most likely they will be nice and correct it).

I don't know about the specifics of any answer to your question, other than to advise against freezing any chemistry.

So that would be a no go on splitting it up and saving it? I'm a student and would like to stretch the money, if not, nbd.

Most chemistry can be saved - just not frozen!

You need to get more input though from those who are using that particular package about the specifics of how to do so, so you may need to wait a bit until a few others have a chance to respond to the thread.

Just mix everything up (using water that is heated up and cooled quickly to drive out air), store in PET BOTTLES with ALL AIR SQUEEZED OUT, possibly refrigerated but NOT FREEZED (don't go too near the freezing point). It will keep for at least 6 months. Storing the concentrates is very difficult and usually leads to shorter shelf-life than with mixed solutions. Also, measuring everything out every time is a PITA and error-prone.
