Does anyone know if there are adapters to put a lens mounted on a Pacemaker Speed Graphic board onto a Toyo-View monorail camera? There's a Toyo View monorail in the studio I rent that nobody uses, but it doesn't have any lenses, I'd still like to use the lenses on my pacemaker Speed Graphic when I'm at home though, and I don't want to bother with mounting and unmounting lenses from lens boards all the time. Any tips?

Hi,
in an old Toyo catalogue form 1996 I found the adapter No. 1050 AFVM (For use of a Graphic standard board with Toyo-View and Toyo-Field 810M).
Seems to be the right one.

PM me if you want a pdf of the catalogue. In the 2012 German price list from Plaubel (http://www.plaubel.com/) it is still listed for EUR 190,- + VAT.

Kind regards

Ulrich

There are two on the auction site right now... a recessed Toyo to 4x5 Graphic for $24 and a flat Toyo to 2x3 Graphic for $80. I made my own flat and recessed years ago with parts from damaged Graflex 4x5 bodies because I prefer the smaller lens boards for portability.

The typical focal length of a press camera, 135mm or 127mm, isn't what most want on a view camera. Pick up a used lens & board, 150 to 210mm, and use it instead. You can always sell them later if you quite using the camera.

i have no trouble using "standard" lenses on a speed graphic and view camera.
it depends on the make and image circle of the lens to determine if it will
allow for radical view camera movements. there is a chart on largeformatphotography.info in
the articles section tha has lenses and image circles. not all standard lenses are the same ...

The OP wants to use his lenses on a rental Toyo View camera with 110mm square boards. His lenses are mounted on metal Graflex boards. What he didn't state is what size Pacemaker Graphic he has.

the OP never said it was for a cx view camera.
from what i understand it is the only view camera
they make that takes a 110 square board/ I asked if
that was what he is looking for because as adapter boards
for toyos go, it is the rarest of their adapters, and they don't make them anymore.

the OP just said it was a toyo view camera and it was a hassle to re-board them ...

^^^ Woops, that's right. I remembered seeing 110x110 in this thread but forgot it was in the second post, not the OP. The metal Graphic 3-5/8 inch to 6x6 inch Toyo adapter boards are easy to make with spare parts.

Do you happen to know the model for this? I’m trying to track one down.

Looking at the system chart on pp 25-26 of the Toyo 45AII instruction manual, the part number for the Graphic-to-Toyo-Field lensboard adapter appears to be 1630.
