Does anyone know of a reliable shop (USA?) that can give a Pacemaker Speed Graphic a full overhaul? In particular the focal place shutter speeds etc.

Or does anyone know of a shop that sells these cameras already serviced?

Lens & Repro in NY perhaps?

I wonder who services David Burnett's camera...

thanks in advance

Harry...my Crown has just come back from Classic Camera Repair in Saco, Maine in fine shape...The owner's name is Andy, and his phone number is 207 284 5500. Andy has also CLA'd three of my SLR's over the years. He and his work are well respected in the region, and he's only a mailbox away.

Check www.graflex.org. Fred Lustig is well known and respected for his Graflex repairs. Not sure if he's still active though.

You might have a look here:

got to "technical stuff" and then to "speeding up the Speed or how to repair the focal plane shutter"

I used his online manual to get the shutter in my Speed Graphic right on time. Was it difficult? No, done within 10 minutes.

Fred Lustig in Reno NV is indeed still in business. He has my Crown in for repairs right now. One advantage he offers is seemingly unlimited NEW replacement parts. I highly recommend him.
