I have a speed graphic with a spring bank that I've gotten for a birthday. I'm beginning to find the spring back a little limiting. Seeing as the camera was a gift, I was looking to upgrade it instead of replacing. I've found a graflock back belonging to a crown graphic that would make a nice upgrade. Would this fit my anniversary speed graphic?

I don't remember swapping backs between Anniversary and Pacemaker series Graphics, but believe this is satisfactory. The top mounting screws are spaced differently. This should be no problem. The eyepiece for the Graflok sports finder has a higher eye point on the Pacemaker than on the Anniversary. However, you can still use the original Anniversary finder. If your Graflock back comes with a Pacemaker series front standard and focusing rail, these parts can upgrade the Anniversary.

A lot of folks upgraded earlier Speed Graphics with Graflok backs, I don't remember a separate model back for earlier cameras.

I have an Anniversary that prior owner (a camera rental company) retrofit with a Graflock back. It is a dream to work with. I have the original spring back but would never consider restoring to original configuration.

Sorry I've made a mistake in my first post. I have a pacemaker speed graphic....

Just to be sure, the backs of the pacemaker series are exchangeable? That would be awesome.

A retrofit kit was made for the Anniversary Speed, not sure if it was a different Graflok than the Pacemaker series or not. All Pacemaker series backs are interchangeable in the same format. The Graflok adds a screw to the center of the film insertion slot that was not used with the spring back.
The screws are: Bottom - #2 self taping 1/2 inch long for the Speed, 3/16 long for the Crown; Top - #2 self tapping 3/16 long all cameras; Film gate - #1 wood, flat head, 3/8 inch long.

#2 taping screw .1 inch max diameter (2.54mm), pilot hole .086 inch (2.18mm); #1 wood screw 0.073 diameter (1.8542mm), pilot hole 0.0313 inch (.795mm)
