I have a Crown but if I didn't, this would work pretty well. Some opine that the FP shutter is unreliable and adds weight. I have a baby Graphic inherited as my dad's first camera and I used the FP shutter many times with flash bulbs.

I have a stripped down anniversary S.G. and I use the focal shutter, and G.Glass focus with a shutter-less lens in addition to clockwork lens shutter and it worked well enough for 4x5 Polaroid and 4x5 film.
If I did production work of any kind, that spring back would no be good enough, as roll films are often needed, however, I've been of the impression that a graflok back can be fitted to this camera.
After all, if you remove the spring back and wood molding, what's to prevent mounting the new back?
A new back would necessitate adjusting the rangefinder. Not easy.

I received both of my speed graphics with spring backs. I converted both over too a graflok back. .
