Relized earlier that I don't have an appropriately sized spanner to remove the little cap over the rangefinder adjustment screws on a C3. Obviously I could 3d print something, or grind down some sort of plier.

Is anyone currently making / selling a face spanner for smaller applications like this? Essentially everything I can find bottoms out at around 10mm, but even this relatively large cap has narrower spacing.

A small pair of round nose pliers will do the trick. I have used some on my C3, as well as many other two-holed plugs/caps/rings.

Another trick: sometimes a piece of double sided tape will work. You can then place a larger coin, washer, or whatever over the cap with a bit of downward pressure and twist it off.

In the past I've driven nails of the right diameter with the right spacing into the end of a dowel rod to make a tool for repeated use. Just now I bent a paper clip into a U shape, inserted the ends into my C3 cap, and used the handle of a nail clipper (the first thing that came to hand) as a lever to turn the cap out.
